About This Sector

We champion the meaningful participation of young people in peace and security processes. Our Youth, Peace & Security work focuses on implementing UNSCR 2250 and subsequent resolutions, building youth platforms, and institutionalizing youth participation in governance.

The Challenge

Young people constitute the majority of East Africa's population but remain marginalized in decision-making processes. Youth are often viewed as problems to be managed rather than partners in building peace and development.
